What should be paid attention to in the layout of the inverter electrical control cabinet?

1. Ensure that all equipment in the electrical control cabinet is well grounded, and use short and thick grounding wires to connect to the common grounding point or grounding busbar. Any control equipment connected to the inverter must share the ground with it. Use flat conductors.

2. The low-voltage unit, relay, and contactor of the electrical control cabinet are protected by fuses; when the connection from the inverter to the motor exceeds 100m, when the power supply capacity of the inverter is greater than 600kw/a or the power supply capacity is greater than 10 times the capacity of the inverter, it is recommended to add input and output reactors.

3. Ensure that the contactor in the electrical control cabinet has an arc extinguishing function, and the AC contactor uses an r-c suppressor and is installed in the winding. The use of a varistor suppressor has a good effect.

4. If the equipment is running in an environment sensitive to noise, an emc filter can be used to reduce radiation interference.

5. The motor cable should be routed separately from other control cables, with a minimum distance of 500mm. Avoid long-distance parallel routing of the motor cable and the control cable. If the control cable and the power cable cross, they should cross at a 90°angle.

6. The motor cable of the inverter must be shielded cable, and the conductivity of the shielding layer must be at least 1/10 of the conductivity of each phase conductor core.

7. The electrical control cabinet should be equipped with a neutral line group and a protective ground line group (PE). The grounding line group and the PE conductive line must be connected to the crossbeam (copper bar to copper bar connection). The grounding line group must also be connected to the protection circuit (grounding line) through another cable.

8.The operation panel with a display cannot be installed near cables and equipment with coils, such as power cables, contactors, relays, etc., because the strong magnetic field generated will affect the measurement accuracy of the instrument.

9. The power components (transformer, drive components, load power supply, etc.) and the control components (relay control part, programmable controller) must be installed separately. Except for products with integrated power components and control components, the metal casing of the inverter and filter should be connected to the electrical cabinet with low resistance to reduce the impact of high-frequency transient current.

10. When designing the electrical control cabinet, pay attention to the regional principle of EMC and plan different equipment in different areas. The area is isolated in space by a metal shell or a grounding isolation plate in the cabinet. And considering the heat generation, the air duct of the electrical control cabinet should be designed reasonably and the exhaust should be unobstructed. The fan is generally installed near the air outlet, the air inlet fan is installed at the bottom, and the air outlet fan is installed at the top of the cabinet.

11. According to the protection level of the equipment in the control cabinet, the dust and moisture-proof function of the control cabinet needs to be considered.

12. The basic requirements for the installation of the inverter are that the inverter is installed in the middle of the control cabinet. The inverter should be installed vertically. Large devices that may block the exhaust and air intake should be avoided directly above and below; the distance between the upper and lower edges of the inverter, the distance between the top and bottom of the electrical control cabinet, or the minimum distance between the partition and the large devices that must be installed should be greater than 150mm; if a special user needs to remove the keyboard during use, the keyboard hole of the inverter panel must be strictly sealed with tape or replaced with a false panel to prevent a large amount of dust from entering the inverter.
