Application of frequency converters in water equipment control systems
The variable frequency pressure-stabilized water supply equipment control system adjusts the output frequency through the measured pipe network pressure after calculation by the built-in PID regulator of the frequency converter to achieve constant pressure water supply in the pipe network. The frequency over-limit signal of the frequency converter (generally used as the pipe network pressure limit signal) can timely notify the PLC to switch the logic of the variable frequency pump. To prevent the occurrence of water hammer, the start and stop of the pump will be linked to its outlet valve.
1. Principles for selecting the water supply system
(1) The capacity of the reservoir should be greater than the maximum water supply per hour.
(2) The water pump head should be greater than the actual water supply height.
(3) The total flow of the water pump should be greater than the actual maximum water supply.
(4) Selection of the variable frequency control cabinet: Users can determine the model and number of water pumps according to the water supply volume and water supply height, and then select the control cabinet.

Usually, multiple common pumps are set in the same water supply system.
When the water supply is large, multiple pumps are fully opened, and one or two pumps are opened when the water supply is small.
When using variable frequency voltage-stabilized water supply equipment for constant pressure water supply, two methods are used. One is that all water pumps are equipped with a frequency converter; the other is that each water pump is equipped with a frequency converter.
