I. Application of inverter in key links of tile production

The production process of tiles is complex, involving multiple links such as raw material preparation, pressing and molding, kiln sintering, cutting and polishing. Each link has different requirements for motor control, and the role of inverters also has its own characteristics:


1. Raw material preparation

· Application equipment: ball mill, mixer, belt conveyor

· Inverter function:

· Soft start/stop: reduce the impact of starting current on motor and machinery (such as ball mill starting current can be reduced by more than 60%), and extend equipment life;

· Speed closed-loop control: adjust the motor speed in real time through encoder feedback to ensure uniform grinding particle size (such as ball mill speed fluctuation ≤±1%);

· Energy saving effect: automatically reduce the speed when not running at full load (such as when there is less raw material), and energy consumption can be reduced by 20%-30%.


2.Pressing and forming

· Applied equipment: tile press (such as hydraulic press, mechanical press)

· Inverter function:

· Multi-speed control: the motor runs at high speed (such as 50Hz) during idle stroke, and switches to low-speed high-torque mode (such as 10Hz, torque increased by 150%) during pressing;

· Torque vector control: accurately control the motor output torque to ensure that the thickness tolerance of the blank is ≤±0.3mm, and improve the yield rate;

· Braking energy recovery: when the press descends rapidly, the mechanical energy is converted into electrical energy and fed back to the power grid, which has a significant energy-saving effect (such as each press saves about 50,000 yuan in electricity bills per year).


3. Kiln sintering

· Applied equipment: kiln fan (combustion-supporting fan, smoke exhaust fan), conveyor belt

· Frequency converter function:

· PID closed-loop control: automatic adjustment of fan speed through temperature sensor feedback, kiln temperature fluctuation ≤±5℃;

· Synchronous control: multiple conveyor belt motors run synchronously, speed deviation ≤±0.5%, to avoid tile stacking or breakage;

· Energy-saving advantage: fan variable frequency speed regulation can reduce energy consumption by 30%-40% compared with traditional damper adjustment (taking a 100kW fan as an example, annual electricity bill savings are about 120,000 yuan).


4. Cutting and polishing

 Applicable equipment: cutting machine, polishing machine, edge grinding machine

· Inverter function:

· Vector control: High dynamic response characteristics, fast adjustment of motor torque (such as when the load of the cutting machine changes suddenly, the speed recovery time is less than 0.1 second);

· Master-slave control: Multiple polishing machine motors run synchronously through the inverter, and the speed difference is ≤±0.2%, ensuring the flatness of the polishing surface ≤±0.1mm;

· Automatic sleep function: When the equipment is on standby, the motor automatically slows down to low speed to reduce no-load energy consumption (such as standby energy consumption reduced by 70%).
